INDIA also starting to produce corn based ETHANOL in 2007. we should work together to help humankind prosperity while creating WORLD ETHANOL ORGANISATION to make many countries to produce ETHANOL to supplement petroleum products. i am from INDIA. we feel very proud what USA is doing in producing corn based ETHANOL .. . if U S A is not producing ethanol the price of crude may be more than $100 per barrel in 2005year itself..allthe consumers in the world are BENIFITING . It is frustrating as an Ethanol organization to continue to push forward when the majority of society does not have a clue. Of course it is easy to find fault with a suggestion or a temporary solution but one must have another solution in mind before doing so. Ethanol may not be the permanent solution but it is a least an effort put forth by people who refuse to be blind to the problem. For those of us who do get it, it is our job and responsibility to inform the public of the stereotypes and myths about ethanol, starting with the basics, while continuing to progress in ethanol research and production.
