		<description>Not true, Engineer.  Ethanol has a Much Higher OCTANE RATING than gasoline.  That means it gives up it's energy much more efficiently.

You might ask yourself why many "Premium" grades of gasoline have 10% ethanol content.  :)</description>

		<description>It is a tad misleading to compare ethanol price to gasoline on a per gallon basis. That's because a gallon of ethanol contains only about 2/3rds the energy of a gallon of gasoline. Hence, one should compare the prices on a per BTU basis.

With gasoline around $3/gal ethanol needs to be a full $1/gal cheaper to cost the same on a per BTU basis. The statement "Ethanol costs more than 60 cents a gallon less than gasoline" actually means ethanol costs more than gasoline per BTU!</description>
