Formal Petition for E15

In Ethanol by Cindy

ethanol pumpA broad alliance of ethanol industry groups joined together today to formally petition the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to allow the use of up to 15 percent ethanol in gasoline for motor vehicles.

The alliance includes the American Coalition for Ethanol (ACE), Growth Energy, the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA), and the National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition (NEVC), as well as several major ethanol companies.

The National Corn Growers Association released a statement, based on policy approved at last week’s annual meeting, supporting the ethanol industry’s efforts to move beyond the current 10% blend wall, based on sound science. NCGA also supports the regulatory process to increase the blend rate and to replace foreign oil with domestically produced renewable energy.
