There Is Gold In Them Hills; and Ethanol Too
Bikers, the kind on Harley’s, have been running E10, (10% ethanol and 90% unleaded gasoline) in their rides for years, but a growing number are choosing to use E85. And why not? The 85% ethanol fuel is as American as a Harley and both share the ability to creates jobs here in the U.S. and the same pride in independence.
With that theme in mind, the Renewable Fuels Association will make their presence know through a creative new ad campaign at the renowned Black Hills Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota on Aug. 3-9, 2009.
The campaign features a simple pro-E85 message on the back of a black leather jacket. Go figure!
It reads simply: “Clean, green domestic ethanol fuels are as much a part of the American Spirit as the Black Hills Motorcycle Rally itself. Whether you choose E85 for your flex fuel vehicle at home or run your bike and your car on E10, ride with pride.”
