We are talking about a proclamation supporting an agenda that would, if they had their way, totally eliminate animal agriculture - including your grass-fed beef cattle. You still have to kill them and that is "violent." If you are Catholic you should know the reasoning behind meatless Fridays during Lent. It is a form of identification with the suffering of Christ and has NO connection at all with a vegetarian or vegan diet. Agriculture in general has good reason to fear these people. If you guys were consistent you'd be protesting the pope for first friday meat outs and 4 fridays in a row of no of no meat. The future these folks have does not have production agriculture in it. Not sure what they will eat but it will not be produced by us. We ABSOLUTELY have to become proactive in this debate or the future that these people and the current administration have will not include commercial agriculture.
